Eligibility Criteria for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission KPPSC Jobs 2025:
Age Limit: The age limit for all candidates is 25-32 years as of 01-01-2025, with a maximum 10-year relaxation for disabled persons, widows, divorced individuals, and government employees (having government service of 2+ years), development project employees (service period capped at 10 years), 5 years for minorities, and 3 years for backward areas candidates.
Qualification: Basic Qualification: MBBS/BDS recognized by PMDC; Advanced Qualification: Doctorate/M.Phil. in Public Health, Health Administration, or Health Management, or a Master’s in these fields with two years of relevant experience.
Citizenship and Domicile: Must be a citizen of Pakistan with domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible.
Note: Applicants can own only one domicile; multiple domiciles will make them disqualified for the job. Married females who are not in government jobs will have their domicile, either their own or their husband’s, at the time of their marriage but will not be allowed to change it later.
Competitive Examination
Candidates must clear the Competitive Examination, which includes general and specialized subjects, psychological aptitude tests, and viva voce as per the syllabus given on the website of KPPSC.
Syllabus for a Competitive Assessment
General Compulsory Subjects (350 Marks):
- English – 100 Marks
- English Essay – 50 Marks
- General Knowledge/Everyday Science – 50 Marks
- Current Affair – 50 Marks
- Pakistan Affairs – 50 Marks
- Islamiyat – 50 marks (for non-Muslims Pakistan Studies or Current Affairs, 75 Marks each).
Specialized Compulsory Subjects (400 Marks):
- Health Planning and Management (200 Marks): It emphasizes planning, management, human resources, total quality management, project management, and leadership.
- Epidemiology, Public Health, and Disease Control (200 Marks): Includes epidemiology, biostatistics, research, disease control, and environmental health.
Additional Exams:
- Psychological Aptitude Test: 200 Marks (Passing Marks: 40%).
- Viva Voce: 50 Marks (Passing Marks: 40%).
Final Merit and Selection
According to the composite scores derived from written examinations, proficiency tests, and interviews.
In case of a tie in scores, preference will be given based on:
- Total score in compulsory subjects.
